What are young Iranians concerned about?
Usualy we get the impression from some American news reports on Iran that the biggest issue for the youth is that religious leaders exercise too much control.
However, in a video now running on “Current TV,” titled “Iranian Vote,” producers Yasmin Vossoughian and Kouross Esmaeli present interviews with young Iranians with a different concern: the gap between rich and poor.
One young man asks why some Iranians have $200 sneakers while other have nothing. Some of the Iranians interviewed want the new president, who apparently drives an old car, to do something about the gap between rich and poor.
Watch the video Iranian Vote.
